Looking for Photo of Lt. Karl Eggert - killed 28.08.1940
Hi,
Not my usual request but I have just obtained a sterbebild for Lt. Karl Eggert. He was from KG3 and was shot down on the 26th August 18940 and died two days later. Unfortunately, there is no image of him on the card. Can anyone provide a photo of him? Thanks Rick |

No picture, thought the following
http://www.rafashop.com/site/images/...%20version.pdf may be of interest 264 Sqn’s part in this raid was now over and the German bombers headed for home albeit with less than had taken off. All the losses came from 7/KG 3-one Do 17, coded 5K+ER, crashed into the sea off Foreness. The pilot, Lt Karl Eggert, was rescued but died in captivity two days later. The radio operator, Ogefr Kurt Ramm, and gunner, Ogefr Walter Knochenmuss, were both killed whilst the observer, Uffz Rudolf Haupt, was captured Kind regards Ross |
