WerkNr 15472 and 15612
Hi everybody,
I was hoping that anyone could tell me more about the faith and career of Me-109 G-6 WrkNr 15472 and 15612. They were made by Erla Leipzig in about April 1943, but what happened to these aircraft after their delivery with about 24 other Messerschmitts at 8./JG 1 in May 1943? Thanks! |

) since damages where very low, is there available details about their "lives" after those little accidents?Of course Vinnie, since you declared that 8./JG 1 received about 24 in May 43, Remi is perfectly right asking you " what about the others". Any listing to share with us please? Thanks. Franck. Last edited by ouidjat; 16th May 2011 at 04:30. |

Re: WerkNr 15472 and 15612
Thanks, gentlemen!
![]() I looked at the Flugzeugbestand of III./JG 1 and found out that in May 26 Me-109 G-6 aircraft were delivered. I found out that for example WrkNr 15458 (black 10 from Lt. Joachim Göhre) belonged to this lot. After some research, it turned out that this aircraft was delivered by Erla on 14 May 1943. In this Erla-lot most probably also were some of the following other Werknummern: 15363, 15365, 15366, 15367, 15389, 15429, 15438, 15439, 15440, 15441, etc. I found 26 + one uncertain Messerschmitt. By the end of May, or maybe even in early June, WNF must have delivered a second lot. This lot includes Werknummern like 19611, 19613, 19848, 19854, 19913, but even 20103 and 20114 from a different block. These are just my observations, but if someone could add anything: let me know! Interesting to note is the fact that 15472 made an emergency landing on 19 August 1943 after a collision. This day Oblt. Herwig Zuzic collided with another plane from his staffel; most likely this mystery is now solved: 15472 collided with Zuzic's 15367. |

Re: WerkNr 15472 and 15612
Guys,
I have a photo of a damaged black 8 and I assume that this back 8 is the 15472 as mentioned in your conversation. This assumption is based on the fact that there is only one single back 8 crashed in Zeeland. I need a confirmation that the attached photo is the black 8 of Cadzand Haven and if yes who was the pilot. Leo |
