Oblt.Paul Gommer 1./KG40

I would be very grateful if anybody could help me with information on the following person , Oblt Paul Gommer born in Malstatt-Burbach on 13.01.1909 .
He was killed on February 5 , 1941 when the FW200 Condor he was flying crashed in Co.Cork , Ireland . The Condor he was flying was F8+AH Werks nr.0042 of 1./KG40 . Oblt. Gommer and four other crew members that were killed are buried in the German Military Graveyard in Glencree , Co.Wicklow , Ireland . One crew member survived the crash , Ofw Max Hohaus from Hamburg , he suffered serious burns .

Gommer was too low in rank and it was too early in the war for him to leave a track record behind in the documents. Your recourse is to contact BA-MA Freiburg, their replication vendor Selke, GmbH, or one of the ±12 private researchers accredited to BA-MA and order copies of his personnel records. They are sure to have them because he was both an officer and air crew. The records will give you everything you could possibly want to know about him. Your total outlay will be in the neighborhood of €30, - €60, depending on who does it.
