Victims of Hauptmann Johannes Hager

Hello

Would anyone have the names of the crews and their fates for these aircraft claimed by this night-fighter ace:

28 August 1943: Stirling III (BF576) of 620 Sqn, RAF
18 April 1944: Halifax III (LW522) "MH-J" of 51 Sqn, RAF or Halifax III (LV946) "NP-K" of 158 Sqn, RAF

I believe this sort of information can be found in the series by William Chorey. Any help will be gratefully appreciated.

Horrido!

Leo

Hello Michel

Many thanks for your information which I did not have and which I can use to add to what I know of this fellow. I have been able to uncover additional details of the crew of the second bomber lost on 18 April 1944:

Crew of Halifax (LV946) "NP-K"

F/O WA Hughes RCAF KIA Pilot
Sgt O McD Brown RAF KIA Flight Engineer
F/Sgt F Salmond RAF KIA Navigator
F/O BA Trewin RCAF KIA Air Bomber
W/O JA Leaver, RAAF KIA Wireless Air Gunner
F/Sgt J Heyes, RAF KIA Mid Gunner
F/Sgt R Stakes, RAF KIA Rear Gunner

LV946 collided in the air with a 51 Sqn RAF Halifax and both aircraft crashed at Seraucourt-Le-Grand (Aisne), 11 kilometers south-west of St Quentin.

Horrido!

Leo
