Victims of Hauptmann Johannes Hager
Hello
Would anyone have the names of the crews and their fates for these aircraft claimed by this night-fighter ace: 28 August 1943: Stirling III (BF576) of 620 Sqn, RAF 18 April 1944: Halifax III (LW522) "MH-J" of 51 Sqn, RAF or Halifax III (LV946) "NP-K" of 158 Sqn, RAF I believe this sort of information can be found in the series by William Chorey. Patrick Crummey RAF KIA Airg. Sgt. George Karza RCAF KIA Airg. Sgt. T Bowlby RCAF POW Stalag 12D Plane crashed at 0.55 Hrs. near Irsch (Saarburg)Germany Crew of Halifax LW522, Sgt. Colin Shackleton RAF KIA Pilot Sgt. Charles Christie RAF KIA Eng. F/s. Eric Yorke RAF KIA Nav. Sgt. Desmond Kennedy RAF KIA Bomb. Sgt. Philip Latchford RAF KIA Oper/Airg. Sgt. William Gilchrist RAF KIA Airg. F/s. Fred Taylor RAF KIA Airg. Plane collided with a 158 Squadron halifax and crashed at Seraucourt-le-Grand France. Hope this help, Michel |

I have been able to uncover additional details of the crew of the second bomber lost on 18 April 1944: Crew of Halifax (LV946) "NP-K" F/O WA Hughes RCAF KIA Pilot Sgt O McD Brown RAF KIA Flight Engineer F/Sgt F Salmond RAF KIA Navigator F/O BA Trewin RCAF KIA Air Bomber W/O JA Leaver, RAAF KIA Wireless Air Gunner F/Sgt J Heyes, RAF KIA Mid Gunner F/Sgt R Stakes, RAF KIA Rear Gunner LV946 collided in the air with a 51 Sqn RAF Halifax and both aircraft crashed at Seraucourt-Le-Grand (Aisne), 11 kilometers south-west of St Quentin.
