Re: He 219 found in Denmark !!!

There are indeed some records that give the W.Nr. and date for individual aircraft produced, i.e.accepted(BAL). I have had access to this information from Fiesler, for Fi 156, Fw 190, etc. and I am certain they existed for most, if not all, Luftwaffe production, they just have not survived or are inaccessible.
Best Regards,
Artie Bob

95% of all werk numbers ranges are based on orders placed, and actual documented losses - not on the specific werk numbers made. I have never actually seen official documents from any wartime manufacture that states, "on this day we made werk # "X", and it was complete, transferred to unit "X". There are numerous wrecks from various aircraft being found where the main werk falls "outside" the werk number ranges that are documented, as well as loss records.

Which documents are you referring to specifically?
Well the Heinkel archive have a lot of documents as to when and were specific Wnr. were transferred, and also what happened to them, both for He 219 and also He 177. Besides that we have some FB's from FLÜG that show transfer of He 219.
And I see that you also have concluded that the Wnr found was not part of aircraft Wnr.

Re: He 219 found in Denmark !!!

I would offer two possibilites, #1 a very hot engine suddenly immersed in very cold water. Or #2, if that part of the coastline freezes, the expansion of freezing water becoming ice within the engine block where coolant and oil used to run.
