flame exhausters?
Hello all,
When rearranging some aero jumble found on 'my' airfield Venlo 20 years ago, I came across this strange device which seems to be a sort of flame exhaustpipe that could be attached to the 'normal' exhaust pipes. I strongly suspect that it is of US origin, but I have no idea/knowledge about which US aircraft had such exhaust pipes. During the US use of Venlo airfield (then called Y-55), we had mainly B-26's, A-26's, P-47's, P-38's. Who recognizes this part? Any help is much appreciated! All the best, Marcel Hogenhuis - airfield Venlo research - He219 project
