Exclamation Paul Feldmann / crashed 31-12-1943

....Paul Feldmann, NCO, Pilot, Fighterwing 3 , Flying Instructor, Transportgeschwader "Warschau".

- Wehrpass, 18-5-1938.
With civil passphoto.

No medals entered in the Wehrpass, but being a pilot who received his Luftwaffe-Flugzeugführerschein Land, Pilot's Flying Licence, see stamp on page 21, he should at last be entitled to the Pilot Badge.

He served from April - till the end of Sept. 1940 with II.JG.3/6.Staffel.
Jagdgeschwader 3 was equiped with the Messerschmitt Bf 109 E, and during that period active over Belgium and France during the Blitzkrieg - Invasion.
Feldmann and Fighterwing 3 took also part in the "Battle of Britain".


Oct. 1940 he went to Flugzeugführerschule A/B 118 Stettin Germany to become a Flying Instructor.
March 1943 he was transferred to Transportkommando Chef A-V. "Warschau"

31-12-1943 he was killed when his aircraft crashed. ....

Hello Kris,

Paul Feldmann was not a pilot in 6./JG 3 in 1940. From his Wehrpass I gather that he belonged to groundcrew. He as enlisted in January 1940 and was posted to 6./JG 3 in April 1940. Also he was promoted to Gefreiter in August 40.
