Are there any details about the Bf-109 with the WNr. 15630? Where it was built, weapons or something?

Re: Crash of Lt. Hermann Schmidt on the 22.02.1944
Thank you Lino,
were there only fighter-pilots in training in II./Jgr.Süd? In another forum I got the information that Wnr. 15630 had made a belly-landing at Monchy Breton on the 18.10.43. The plane belonged to III./JG26. Are there any information about this crash? Pilot,....? Regards Christian |

Re: Crash of Lt. Hermann Schmidt on the 22.02.1944
I've got a photo of Hermann out of his time at JG 104.
There is a letter of the indentification. Is it possible to indentify the Bf-109? |

Re: Crash of Lt. Hermann Schmidt on the 22.02.1944
Hi Schalabeer,
Looks like a Bf 109E but since the fuel refueling hatch is just under the cockpit must be a Bf 109 B, C or D. Early camouflage ... Sure 100% it's JG 104? I doubt, but it's just my thought. I'll be back 'cause I think - quite sure - that photo was in auction in a group or in a photo-album ... Regards, Franck. |
