Alex,

Mustang KH504 is discussed here: http://www.rafcommands.com/forum/sho...Mustang-Losses

Apparently a belly landing due to engine failure in Germany (wider Wiesbaden area).

Regards,

Leendert

Alex,
27-09-1944 306 Squadron PAF.
Pilot: F/Sgt Tadeusz Jozef Koloszczyk, 794927 KIA
A/c took off from Brenzett, UK at 08.35h, for Ramrod 1297.
Ramrod 1297 = escorting Halifax bombers to Sterkrade.
Last seen off North Foreland, but actualy crashed near Veghel, The Netherlands. Buried near the wreckage of his aircraft outside Veghel near a trailer park. Reburied by British troops in Veghel RC Cemetery, probably october 2nd 1944. Up till 2014 his was buried as an unknown Polish at Veghel with the day of death october 2nd 1944 (probably burial date).
ORB gives only "D" for this Mustang III.
One source gives FB-151 (SGLO) and another gives FZ-196 (Franks)
Also look at the site: Polish War Graves, you will find a picture of his grave and a picture of the pilot!
Regards
Karl Lusink
