Norvegian Gloster Gladiator - 9 April 1940
Hello,
I am curious to know if the Norwegian Gloster Gladiators were fitted with skis or if they had their wheels at the time of the german invasion, Operation Weserübung. Regards Alfred |

Re: Norvegian Gloster Gladiator - 9 April 1940
All aircraft had skis replaced with wheels during the early days of April, i.e. before Weserübung. However at least one aircraft, 427, still had the tail skid on 9. April.

Re: Norvegian Gloster Gladiator - 9 April 1940
That's probably why "427"'s profiles were often drawn with skis in place of the landing gear.
Thank you Alfred |
