Re: Schlossstein info
Do you mean Karl FRITZ Schlossstein?
If so I would suggest you pick up Eric Mombeek's book Eismeerjager Band 1, "Zerostorerstaffel und Jabostaffel". The Schlossstein mentioned above was a staffelkapitan with 13. / (Z) JG5. If it is Karl Friedrich S. I will defer to others. Cheers Jeremy |

Re: Schlossstein info
I´ve found Oblt. Karl Friedrich Schloßstein, Staffelkapitän 10.(Z)/JG 5 (later renamed into 13.(Z)/JG 5) from Feb. 1942 until June 1943, 8 victories at least.
Fritz is a short version of Fried(e)rich. My source uses both versions of Schloßstein´s name. Regards, Heuser Last edited by Heuser; 19th February 2006 at 03:04. |

Re: Schlossstein info
Thanks Heuser,
That would be the man Vince is looking for, and Eric Mombeeks book would be most helpful as he figures quite promiently in that book. His victories and numerous photos of S. are there as well, he also wrote a portion of the forward. To the best of my knowledge he is still alive, I corresponded with him a few years back when I was looking for infomration on Max Fransizket. Jeremy |
