Seeking Help (Me 109 9th june 1940)
Hello,
Does any one on this forum know how i could find the german unit involved in this strafing : the 9 june 1940 at 15h15 (french hour), 10 or 12 Me 109 straffed french Morane of GC III/7 which where refueling on the french airfield of Coulommiers (50 km east of Paris). 8 or 10 Morane were set ablaze. Thanks for any help. Rémi Baudru

Have you looked at THE BATTLE OF FRANCE, Then and Now, by Peter Cornwell, After The Battle Books? It is an excellent source for the 1940 airwar in the West.

Nothing in the above book except that the aircraft were destroyed by a strafing attack. No German unit given, and no type (Bf 109 or 110).
