A friend on another board is looking for a more exact location for the crash site of a 103 Squadron Lancaster Mk 1 flown by S/L KG Bickers, serial no ME665.

Re: Crash site of a Lancaster query
Danny, Theo and the original poster have been in contact.
The Lanc was shot down by Lt. Heinz Bergel of 2./NJG5. He was killed 11-12.6.44 at Moussy-le-Vieux near Paris, shot down by Allied fighter. next question: who shot down Lt Bergel in his Bf110? Last edited by Kutscha; 21st March 2015 at 00:38. Reason: spelling |

One possible :
F/L Denis WELFARE (119194) & F/O David Benjamin BELIS (142922) in Mosquito NF Mk.II DZ256 HB°U of 239 Sq claimed a Bf 110 near PARIS on 11/12 JUN 1944. |
