Re: 237 Squadron aerial victories
Keith,
Can you confirm the following on the identities of Burne and Wilson? Adrian Arnold Roy Burne (31310) [was he from S. Rhodesia?] Brian Carson Moubray Wilson (80409) Also I was wondering if anyone can further ID P/O Forrest of 238 Sqn. (given names and/or service number)? Thanks, Tom |

Re: 237 Squadron aerial victories
I have Forrest as W F Forrest. Just the initials at this point, and no service number.
Enjoy! Frank.

Re: 237 Squadron aerial victories
Thanks, Frank. Possibly William Frederick Forrest (173912) who was commissioned on 26 Dec. 43 (London Gazette Suppl. 9 May 44) and promoted to F/O on 26 June 44 (LG Sup. 11 Aug. 44).

Re: 237 Squadron aerial victories
I am researching F/L (then F/O) P E Ipsen at the moment. I can confirm that he was the Ipsen sharing the victory on 15/5. I have transcribed the relevant part of the 237 Sqn ORB for a list of Ipsen's operations on my website
http://danishww2pilots.dk/sorties.php?id=1055 The topic has been touch before on the forum http://forum.12oclockhigh.net/showthread.php?p=198247 Evidence suggest a Do 17, rather than Do 217. Regards Mikkel Plannthin
