Hello Waldo Pepper,

This is a well-known LIFE color photo taken at Abstellplatz/Schattenplatz Brunnthal south of München.

Hello pelagonia,

Unless I am mistaken, the aircraft to which you refer with the white numerals 0017 on its fin is Ju88A/V17, WNr. 880017, St.Kz. DI+MW.

Steve

Sorry for barging in like this, but was WNr 0017 really the V17?

Looking in Medcalf's Ju 88 book, he manage to contradict himself on the same page (36), saying in the table, the V17 was 88009 while in the second column state the V17 was WNr 0017.

From other sources I have that WNr 880017 had the STKZ BB+AF

What is actually correct?

Cheers
Stig

Re: Luftwaffe wrecks Badkirchen 1945

BB+AF was given on the old LEMB as a He45 with FFS A/B 51 from 1940-10 to 1941-04 as comment on this picture source expired Ebay

Re: Luftwaffe wrecks Badkirchen 1945

Stammkennzeichen.de gives Ju88V17 as former D-AEAG.

Btw, where is "Badkirchen"? A location named that way can´t be found...

Roland

Re: Luftwaffe wrecks Badkirchen 1945

Thanks Peter/Roland

What a mess! I have 880012 to 880020 listed as BB+AA to BB+AI which now seems quite incorrect....

Any taker vs V17 and its WNr?

Cheers
Stig
