Luftnachrichtenschule 4 / Lyon-Bron

Hello, I am looking for information about LuftNachrichtenschule 4 based in Lyon-Bron (1943-1944).

I do not understand the aircraft identification codes. For example I find TD+QE and TC+KW. Why the second letter is not the same? I also found " VA + GX ", " RO+CW " and " DK+XP " ... Could you explain that?

LuftNachrichtenschule 4 used various planes as Fi 156, C 445 A , FW 44 J, FW 58 C, He 72 D et Ju 86 E. , but I can not find a detailed list of aircraft used by this squadron. Does this exist?

Thank you for your answers.

Although some schools used a common system of letters, others did not. The letters you mention were just the individual factory markings for each aircraft (often used as a radio call sign). A few wrecked aircraft were found at Bron by the Allies in sEptember 1944.

There were three Ju 86, converted for transporting petrol: W.Nr. 086 5013, RO+CW; DK+XP; and another completely destroyed.

Also, totally destroyed, were Ju 88 W.Nr. 0862; another Ju 88; three Fi 156; two Ju 52; three "Fiat G. 50" (in fact Reggiane Re. 2002 of Geschwader Bongart); one Fw 58.

Thank you for the answer.

The wrecks of Geschwader Bogart's planes show that this unit was present at the time of the bombing of April 30th and / or August 14th.
