KG 2 - 23/24-2-1944

Hello,

On this night 2./KG 2 lost the Do.217M flown by Ofw. Stemann. In R.MacKay / Simon Parry 's book The last Blitz the BO is listed as Uffz. Walter Rosendahl, the BS as Uffz. Richard Schwarzmüller. In "Der Luftkrieg in Europa" by Ulf Balke they are listed as BS (Rosendahl) and BO (Schwarzmüller) respectively.
Perhaps Matti can shine a light on this?
The same night the Ju.188E-1, U5+AN of 5./KG 2 returned with two wounded crew members. I'm looking for the names of the 3 other crew members (FF BO & BF). Many thanks and kind regards.

Dirk

I can only go on what you have-Ulf's source would have been the NVM (as should have Ron & Simon's book unless they referred to the Interrogation Report). As to the 2nd question, crew uninjured, no record unless there is a FB or KTB entry

I have from NVM Beobachter Schwarzmüller and Bordschütze Rosendahl.

Chris, Matti,

Thanks for your quick answer.
I'll go for the NVM as the most plausible answer.
Indeed no names can be found if they were uninjured.
It was a long shot, but you never know...
Grtz.
