wartime photographs of Ju88R-1 D5+EV

Hi folks,

I looking for wartime photographs of
Ju88R-1 D5+EV showing the original German markings. I'm wondering that there no photographs to find in any book. I just found photographs in RAF colours or with wrong repainted German markings.
Hope somebody can help me with this request.

Cheers, Simon

Re: wartime photographs of Ju88R-1 D5+EV

Thanky you for the photo!

Chris, in the meantime I found the photograph published in:

German Night Fgter Aces of World War 2 by Jerry Scutts, Osprey, page 47
and
Nachtjagd War Diaries by Theo Boiten, Red Kite, page 181

Why are there no more taken by the RAF? Such an important aircraft and no photographs exist?

Cheers, Simon

The 2 photos were taken by Duke just after the ac landed at Dyce & was being put under cover so that it was hidden from above. They are the only photos I have seen of it in its original camo & probably came from WW2Images.com

Hi Chris!

At ww2Images.com I found the second photograph! Also photographed from the same direction but missing the ground Crew.

Cheers, Simon

Plenty info on this one, including crew, more than owner says on RAF Hendon website (and much of that is fiction). -Ed

Re: wartime photographs of Ju88R-1 D5+EV

Having neat overspray of RLM in "newest" photo I have, seems normal for the period.
So it appears camo as its displayed now, is not exactly the original scheme (!?)
Besides, its not 100% complete. Someone ripped out (robbed) the emergency tail dataplate and part of bulkhead aft of tailwheel.
