Thanks Gabor , as you know I have no access to any Hungarian books , however what is not clear yet is the connection between July 26,44 to this of Aug 22,44 . As into WWII awards of United States , this has slight similarity to the Soviets maybe other Armies too . Awards are not really awarded only on bravery grounds but based on connections, recommandations and importance of political issues which landed on upper brasses desks . In the WWII there many such heros who remained unknown. One distinct difference however, only Soviets tooks back medals and awards.

Yes... Well, the link was that both captains tried to land their planes with seriously injured onboard, or tried to land without chute, because they gave their own to others from their crew.
