JG1 losses on 19 August 1943

On this date JG1 lost three pilots killed and another wounded to Spitfires. The pilots included Ltn Wintergerst KIA and the wounded man was Fw Fritz Timm. Can anyone tell me the names of the other pilots and the times of their combat i.e morning or afternoon.

I know claims were registered by 222, 331, 402 and 416 Squadrons on this date. The Canadian and British claims come late in the day, the Norwegian in the morning. I assume the combat was with the Biggin Hill and Digby Wings because of the magnitude of the losses. The evening claims were 4-0-2, the Norwegian pilots only claimed 1-1-0 during the earlier encounter.

regards

Keith
