Re: French Beute Aircraft

Hello,

Currently on ebay is a phto of a Dewoitine D.520 captioned as Italian and based at Catania:

https://www.ebay.de/itm/363551014496...oAAOSwDMlhSiUj

I'm uncertain about the caption and the white stripe along the length of the fuselage is of the type seen on french machines. So my question. Is this machine in Italian service, and if so,with which unit?

Regards,

Clint

Re: French Beute Aircraft

Hi Clint,

No Italian but D. 520 GC III/6

On left side of the rudder the bottom of « Masque de tragédie » of 5ème Escadrille of GC III/6

Re: French Beute Aircraft

Hi Bertrand,

Thanks for the info. A little surprised that the link was still visible given the time having passed due to the sad,but thankfully temporary, loss of the site.

Clint

Re: French Beute Aircraft

Hello,

Currently on ebay is a photo of a Morane Saulnier MS.138 at:

https://www.ebay.de/itm/384465312450...UAAOSwpkphd7JT

Can anyone assist in identifying the unit?. The marking on the fuselage shows a pelican (I think,it could even be a swan, but looks a little portly) riding upon a wave,if that helps as I appreciate that the image is a little unclear.

Regards,

Clint

Re: French Beute Aircraft

Hello,

Currently on ebay is a photo of a damaged french aircraft alongside a FCM 36 at:

https://www.ebay.de/itm/393693842104...EAAOSwlkJhi74o

Has anyone an opinion on the atype of aircraft shown in the photo? Caudron C.60 F-AJPS, perhaps?

Regards,

Clint

Re: French Beute Aircraft

Thanks Stig,

Do the photos show the rear of the aircraft at all? Any tricolor on the rudder or purely civilian markings?

Clint

As far as I can judge, pure civilian markings
