Siegfried Freytag rescued by D0-24,1942 Fact or Fiction

In several sources, there are reports that Siegfried Freytag was rescued by Do-24 on 07-27-42. I had believed that this was disproven by Jochen Prien in a earlier exchange on this site. Is this a false report?
