Agree, Thanks for the quick reply Ed....Happy Holiday to you and yours!!!!
It seems odd that not many 190 photos are posted, due to the fact was so popular.....and still is.

Re: Photos 12-23

What intrigues me is the huge number of Bf 109 E models and Fairey Battles. You could almost believe there was a photo for every Battle lost in the 1940 Blitzkrieg.

I'd guess that cameras and film and processing facilities were much more easily available to individual soldiers in 1940 than afterwards.

Re: Photos 12-23

Hi Nick,

that's right. You can find almost every "Emil" of 1940 in France. Most
of these photos were copied several times so you can find these photos
more often - also at ebay! That's why it's hard to understand that some
members of ebay/this board try to get them for hundreds of Eur. Please
remember the "Emil" of Kijewski, StaKa. 5./JG 3 with nickname "Erika".
This photo is published at Priens JFV 4/I at page 205 since years! I own
the same original photo too. Yesterday some guys bid 400,- and more...

In 1941, the start of the Russian campaign you also find lots of photos,
most late "Emils" and "Friedrichs". But in the beginning of 1943, the
Defending of the Reich, the photos become more rare. And German photos
of 1944 and 1945 are very hard to find. That's why you can't find Fw 190
photos every week at ebay! As I know it was not allowed to Germans to
photograph "own" losses. And films and photographic material became
hard to get. Also other circumstances became more important than photos
of German planes...

With the best wishes,
Sven.
