Fokker link to DFS230 production

Hello. I’m interested in learning what role Fokker had in the production of parts for and/or the assembly of DFS230 gliders.

Thank you,
Steve

Fokker did make some DFS 230 parts. From the Fokker Archive in the Aviodrome, Lelystad:

I don't know where the parts were produced during the war. It depends on the manufacturing timeline, which I also don't know. If this was before the Allied bombings in July 1943, then I would say they were made in Amsterdam. After that, Fokker production was dispersed over the rest of the Netherlands.

Re: Fokker link to DFS230 production

Steve,

As for DFS230 production/repairs in occupied Netherlands, Fokker wasn't the only company.
See detailed article (in Dutch) about Diederichs Flugzeugbau in Doetinchem, near the German border here: http://landewers.net/Diederichs-2010...e%20versie.pdf
