Carsten-they lost an Oblt in the Battle of France which is a possibility? I have an Xmas Card for 1940 for 1 Staffel and the signature appears to be Hptm Herbert Kolin but nothing more on 2 Staffel

It would now appear that the St Kap for 1 Staffel was Oblt Friedrich-Wilhelm Berlin while the one killed in 1942 was Herbert Klein not Kolin

In April 1940, that was Hptm. Hans-Joachim Budde.
