Attacks over Devon 7 March 1942
I have never been able to get proof positive but at around 0930hrs on this day, up to 4 Bf 109s roamed around Teignmouth/Exmouth area for up to 40 mins, strafing various targets and damaging a 317 Sqn Spitfire which crash-landed at Bolt Head. At the same time two Bf 109s were strafing Portland. It looks like something that 13./JG 2 would do but I have nothing to confirm, or deny this. Anyone have any suggestions?
