Victory over 2 P-47 27-04-1944 France Reims area.

Casimir Franklin Krowiak 816121 Pilot KIA P-47 42-76220 (356th Fighter Group 359th Fighter Squadron) enemy aircraft covering a bounce on enemy aircraft. crashed Beuvardes Fr. MACR 4326 27-04-1944
and his wingman
Raymanod K Holz 796693 Pilot EVD P-47 43-25557 (356th Fighter Group 359th Fighter Squadron) enemy aircraft at 1745 hrs, lies in the river Marne MACR 4324 27-04-1944

From MACR: Lt Holtz was leading white flight. His wingman was Lt Krowiak, I was flying white three. My wingman and I bounced three enemy aircraft. The bounce started at eighteen thousand feet and continued to the deck. The bounce occurred approximately twenty miles northwest of Reims. At the start of the bounce I called to Lt Holtz to cover my attack and he answered with "Roger". At no time after the start of the bounce did I see either Lt Holtz or his wingman Lt Krowiak. While on the deck, a few minutes after the start of the attack I heard Lt Holtz say he would have to bail out. Nothing on the R/T was heard from Lt Krowiak. William C Brearley

Apparently Bf109. KUJ-923 makes the briefest mentioning of the event. Perhaps later in the series more.

Any claimants for these? Thank you.

The two most likely claims are Ofw. Gerhard Vogt and Ofw. Waldemar Radener, 5. and 7./JG 26 respectively but with the possibility of 11./JG 2's Fw. Heinz Lorbeer having taken part as well.

To add:
John B Stratford Jr 415358 Pilot KIA P-47 42-76135 ( 356th Fighter Group 360th Fighter Squadron) enemy aircraft last seen bouncing 15+ FW190, crashed Buzancy Fr 27-04-1944 17:36
Buried Friedhof Buzancy Fr.
MACR 4413 KUJ-925

Nearest to claim of Ofw. Gerhard Vogt.

Vitry-le-François is 100 km from these.

There was a p-47 crash there. So perhaps no over claim but in an other part of the fight. I will look fot the perticlers.
