I would like to know if someone can help me with copies of the form 540 & 541 of RAF 247 Sqn between 1st may 42 and 30th july 1942.

my research concern a Free French Pilot, S/Lt Hélies which was posted to the 247 sqn. during this period

Afraid I haven't got the copies that you require, but I may be able to check them when I next visit National Archives, Kew. What exactly are you looking for?

I expect you are aware that Helies claimed a Ju88 shot down on 23 July 1942. I haven't a copy of his Combat Report but, if it exists, should be able to copy this for you at Kew.

About his victory the 22th July at 11.40 PM I have all the infos. (he flew an old eight gun Mk I (V6846 /ZY-W)

I would like to know which Hurricane he flew during the time he was in the 247 Sqn. (18 january from 79Sqn. - to 26 july 42 for 234 Sqn.) and in particular between 17 may and 26 july.

a reportage was made during this period and was printed out on Flight magazine dated of 2 july 1942.

So if you can, I will be happy.
