Wellesley loss, 223 Sqdn, 16/06/1940, Eritrea?

Who can tell me more about:

Type: Vickers Wellesley
Serial number: ?, OA-?
Operation: ?
Lost: 16/06/1940
Leading Aircraftman John J. Dixon, RAF 532692, 223 Sqdn., age 22, 16/06/1940, missing - Alamein Memorial
Pilot Officer Michael T.E. Jenkins, RAF 40832, 223 Sqdn., age 23, 16/06/1940, missing - Alamein Memorial

Was 223 Squadron part of 254 Wing?

I guess more regarding this a/c can be found in Gunby/Temple, '
RAF Bomber Losses in the Middle East and Mediterranean Vol I.', which is unfortunately not in my possession.

Regards,

Bart

Hi Bart
A small addition from "Dust Clouds in the Middle East" by Chris Shores puts the location of this loss as over Difein Is which, with Gura, was an objective of the raid
