23 June 41 DB-3 losses east of Wlodzimierz

Hello all,

Who can provide more details on the Russian DB-3 losses on 23 June 41 when a formation of Me 109 of II./JG 3 engaged a formation of eight DB-3 east of Wlodzimierz?

Of these eight Russian planes six were claimed by pilots of the 6./JG 3 between 0600 and 0607 hours (German time). The German info on this engagement is known to me.

Thanks in advance.

Best wishes
Rob

According to Ch. Bergström 27 DB-3s of 8 DBAP were intercepted by Bf – 109s of I. and II./JG 3 that day and nine of the bombers were lost.

Hello Jan,

Thanks for your reply and info. Any more data in the book relating to the activities of II./JG 3 in the east?

Best regards,
Rob

Yes, there is plenty of data scattered throughout the book. If you are interested in a particular dates and/or pilots I can look what else can be found in there..
Regards

Jan
