13th September 1944
Good night to all!
On that date, Lt Kurt Welter from 10./JG 300 claimed a De Havilland Mosquito at 17:42hs near Salzwedel. I would like to know IF he was flying with a wingman and IF there was any other loss from JG 300 that date? Many thanks Adriano Baumgartner |

Re: 13th September 1944
Bear in mind an airframe loss might not have been recorded Adriano, especially if no casualty resulted.

Re: 13th September 1944
Hello MHUXT,
That could be a possibility, since the 140 Squadron's crew report do not mention IF the German pilot bailed out of the Bf 109 that collided with their Mosquito's wingtip! However, they saw that the German fighter lost a wing and entered a spin...I am trying to establish who actually was lost. Thanks for pointing out this new approach ( a not recorded loss of airframe ). Adriano |
