No.71 Eagle Squadron Loss.
Hello
Does any body have the complete squadron code of Supermarine Spitfire XR-? MKV W3801 that was lost on 07.09.1942 with the loss of P/O. E.Q. Tobin. Thanks in advance Santiago |

Correction the date of loss was 07.09.1941 reportely by BF-109 pilot killed. Cheers Santiago |

W3801 was a named a/c. "Popocatapetl II". I do not have the book but "Gifts of War" may have the answer to your question. Alex |

I bought and received the book "Gifts of War" I does not have the complete squadron code for the aircraft in question. Aircraft was in No.71 Squadron for a very short time. Thanks for letting me known about the book. Cheers Santiago |
