Re: Last biplane v biplane combat??
Hello,
Actually, it seems that the last known biplane claim was in fact made on 8 February 1945. This was found after research by Csaba Becze and more info on this can be found at: http://surfcity.kund.dalnet.se/falco_germany.htm . I've missed to update all my pages accordingly... Best wishes/Håkan

Re: Last biplane v biplane combat??
Thanks for all your replies. Very interesting to find ou about the last bi-plane claims.
I still think it is one of the last dedicated bi-plane v bi-plane combat (3 Russian I-153's and six Finnish Gloster Gladiators). All? later combats seem to all involve monoplanes in one type of another. The I-153 is a great find though shame the pilot was not locate and buried with honours. regards Mark |
