RCAF fly P-47 Thunderbolt during WWII?

Hello,
du anybody know that the Royal Canadian Air Forces fly P-47 Thunderbolt during the WWII, if yes which unit and are Losses Listings available, also had the plane Canadian mark of the fusselage?
I search a P-47 where was crash on 16 March 1945, it is possible it was an Canadian Pilot.

Dear Klaus,

A quick look through my library has failed to find any use of the P-47 by the RCAF in WW2 or even after that time.

It could be that your Canadian was a French Canadian flying the P-47 with one of the Armee de L'Air units

Or he could be one who enlisted with the USAAF - perhaps he had a US father and a Canadian mother or vice versa which allowed him to enlist in the USA.

You may wish to give more details of where the aircraft crashed as this will allow others to help you too.

I am not aware of any RCAF units using P-47s, even on loan. There were certainly RCAF members flying Thunderbolts with RAF units in the Far East, maybe the same happened in Europe?
