Hello:
I'm trying to pin down which units were equipped with the Bf-110G-2/R1, as well as any wartime photos of these aircraft. They seem fairly thin on the ground, unfortunately. I'm planning to build a 1/48 scale model of one of these aircraft and would like to be on firm ground with what I'm doing. This may be serious wishful thinking as well, but does anybody have any cockpit shots of these aircraft? From what I can tell, the second crew member fed the gun through a hole in the floor, but while I know what the ammo rack looks like, I am in the dark as far as what that area of the cockpit looks like. Finally, did these aircraft have their rear guns removed? One photo in Bunrin's Famous Aircraft of the World 41 shows a pair of these aircraft in flight, and no rear gun (or gunner, for that matter) is present.
Thanks in advance,
Scott Taylor
