Help Please - Who shot down ED668
I'm currently looking into the death of my Great Uncle. At the time of his death he was a navigator on Lancasters serving with 57 Squadron based out of Scampton. On the night of the 12/13 June 1943 during a raid on Bochum he was shot down whilst flying Lancaster ED668 DX-Y.
From my research I believe that he was shot down over the North Sea at between 02:20 and 02:50 hours by one of three night fighter pilots: Oblt Ernst-Georg Drunkler Ofw Hermann Sommer Uffz. Georg "Schorsch" Kraft I would be interested if can shed any light on who shot down my great uncle down. Best Regards, Matt leeding
