Ernst W Rosenstien 185 Squadron

I am looking for information on a South African pilot Ernst W Rosenstien. He flew with 185 Squadron RAF and was KIA on 2 April 1945. Does anyone know how he died?His father was an early German aviator and WW I ace who fled to South Africa when Hitler came to power.
