RAF Mustangs identification markings
Hello All,
When introduced over the ETO, the RAF Mustangs received indentification markings which included a 12-inch white band on the tail. However, when we watch photos taken during Summer 44 and onwards, this band seems to have been deleted while the other markings (spinner, wings & stabilsators bands) are still visible and this until the end of War. Does anyone know when this tail band has been officilally deleted? Thanks Phil
