I/ZG76 on 15.8.40
Hello: On 15.8.40 I/ZG76 flew it's only mission to NE England during the Battle of Britian as escort to KG26. The losses suffered that day are well known thanks to John Vasco/ Peter Cornwell. If my information is correct, a total of 21 Bf110's flew this mission. To date I've been able to identify approx. 15 of the pilots. I'm wondering if anyone has info. that could help flesh out the names of the remaining pilot's/ crews? The pilots that I know participated so far:
Hptm. Restemeyer Lt. Loobes Oblt. Kettling Oblt. Lent Lt. Woltersdorf Fw. Ladwein Uffz. Richter Lt. Koehler Ofw. Groning Oblt. Gollob Uffz. Zickler Obfw. Linke Oblt. Uellenbeck Obfw. Schumacher Oblt. Eckhart Any help in this matter much appreciated. Thanks. Dean.
