Oblt. Albrecht Bellstedt
Albrecht Bellstedt (b. 18 February 1922 at Bremen) was particularly successful operating Ju 88 C's over the Bay of Biscay with V./KG 40 and I./ZG 1. When the latter unit disbanded in August 1944, Bellstedt was posted as Stkpn. of 9./JG 2. On 21 october 1944, he was killed near Limburg-Montabaur.
Is anyone able to shed light on the circumstances surrounding Bellstedt's death? Many thanks Gordon
