its OK guys, thanks for the help. Reading over what he sent me, he sent me the photos of his crash, it was evidently Hellcat JZ921 on September 3, 1945.
A lucky man as the aricraft is landed upside down with the right hand cockpit area almost ground into the runway!! Will be adding it to the website in the coming days. http://www.skynet.ie/~dan/war/crash_articles.htm best regards Dennis
