D 6889

Good evening !

In a photo-book of a late professional photographer in my home area (Western Germany), I found a WW I photo of a British biplane a/c, which is surrounded by German soldiers. The a/c's serial is D6889 and this s/n is clearly visibly on the photo.

Can anyone give me a notice of the fate of this aircraft ?

Thank you very much !
