Meaning of R numbers on the noses of Ju88A-1s

Hello,

I've got 1940 photos of three different Ju88A-1s with small yellow or white inscriptions on the forward port nose. Two of them were "R8029/88 and R8044/88. These are both from KG51, but the camouflage lines on the planes are different, so they likely came from two different manufacturer's paint shops. Does anyone know what these numbers mean? They don't seem to be related to W.Nrs.

See the example below shows the KG51 Ju88 with R8044/88 painted on the nose.

Regards,

Larry
