I think, with your collective input, we do have the answer. Nick was the first onto the idea. Net sailor, in particular, I want to thank for his more decisive answer and then backing it up with an example.

As with Larry, my dictionaries had failed me, a great rarity. And, yes, I have the same dictionary, Larry, as well as a selection of others of greater or lesser depth.

It is great that we have this site where like interested individuals can meet and help each other out.
