Pilot/aircraft remains, Germany
Hello,
Taken from a US soldiers records. http://www.marshallfoundation.org/Do...fe_of_a_GI.pdf see page 156. While at a German town named Renningen he and some others went to a nearby airfield where he along with others saw wreckage of an RAF aircraft. Within the aircraft were some remains of an airman/pilot, they found his dog-tag and passed it on to the correct authorities. Anyone have any ideas as to what type of aircraft this was ( I assume it to have been a RAF fighter ?) and who was the pilot, Where was he finally laid to rest ? Thanks, Alex |
