The claim of Woick was not confirmed.
He was scrambled after an intruder was reported over Holland at 18.17 hrs.

Andy,

the victim of 248 Sqn was a He 111 from 1.(F)/120. It returned with 20 bullet holes and slightly wounded observer.

A second German recon a/c (operating from Norway) was also attacked on this day.
