Bf 109 wreck identification code

Hi Guys
Last week this pic was on Ebay. Does anybody know the meaning of the identification code? As far as I know the "Doppelwinkel" means Gruppenkommandeur, but what does the black 4 mean? I can't find anything about this, maybe I've got the wrong books or I'm just dim at the moment.

Thanks for your help.
Regards

Harry
