Russian-Finnish combat March and June 1944
Hi,
I have recently received some details of two combats involving Finnish Gladiators and Russian P-40's. On 5 March 1944 2 Gladiators engaged two P-40's. Results would appear to be inconclusive. On 15 June 1944 a flight of 3 Gladiators was intercepted twice by one and then two P-40's. No damage was inflicted on either side. Would anyone have details of the Russian unit/s that were involved in these combats? Were they P-40's or could they have been mistaken for something else? Any help would be appreciated. Regards, Alex
