4/JG54, 07.08.1940
7th August 1940:
The following aircraft of 4/JG54 were destroyed or damaged in an RAF bombing attack on Haamstede A/F, Netherlands. Messerschmitt Bf109E. Aircraft a write-off. Messerschmitt Bf109E. Aircraft 70% damaged. Messerschmitt Bf109E. Aircraft 30% damaged. Messerschmitt Bf109E. Aircraft 30% damaged. Messerschmitt Bf109E. Aircraft 30% damaged. Messerschmitt Bf109E. Aircraft 30% damaged. Attack on Haamstede A/F, was carried out by RAF Blenheims. This raid also killed 3 Pilots and wounded 3 more of JG54. Bf109`s apparently caught just taking off? Can anyone add any more details of this attack and the names of the Pilot casualties?
