Fw 190 V1, WNr 0001, FO+LY, Two Pitots?
While checking the Classic Publications books this morning I have noticed something that was escaping my attention previously -
the presence of what seems to be a second pitot tube or some kind of the "probe" on the port wing leading edge - exactly opposite side of the standard pitot, with "X" shaped rods on it's end. Can anyone explain what it is? It is visible in this photo of Fw 190 V1, WNr 0001, FO+LY shot in Bremen factory in January 1940: ![]() Thank you, Milos |
